Meet the Staff
Dr. Troy White
In the fall of 2023, Dr. White founded his own private practice allowing him to elevate the patient’s experience even further. Their goal is to utilize new technology to keep the visit simple and efficient while providing the most thorough and precise eye care possible today.
Dr. White has been passionate about medical missions his whole life. He had the opportunity to go on his first medical mission trip as a student in optometry school. He has remained committed to serving and ministering to people locally and around the globe with his knowledge of the eyes and love for people.
He is a constant student and is always learning about advancements in eye care and overall wellness. He has always believed that health involves all aspects of life and has a passion for seeing people be the best that God has called them to be. He and his wife Melissa love to expand their knowledge of health and wellness and share it with others. They have three adult children Annie, Anderson, and Coleman.

Mel
Melissa has worked in the eye care industry for over 20 years and is a certified paraoptometric technician (CPO) as well as maintains a few contact lens certifications.
She has always had a heart to serve and enjoys volunteering with Remote Area Medical. For more than 38 years, Remote Area Medical (RAM) has provided free healthcare services to those in need through the operation of pop-up clinics around the country. RAM’s clinics deliver free, quality services to underserved and uninsured individuals who do not have access to or cannot afford a doctor.
Melissa also has a passion for her family and their fur babies. Outside of work, she spends time with her husband and their dogs. She enjoys being with her family, outdoors, and exercising.

April joined Dr. Troy White Eyecare in January of 2025 and is one of the first people you may meet when you walk in the front door, call to make an appointment, or check out before you leave. She is skilled in insurance, schedule management, and helping keep things moving smoothly.
She has been in the eye care industry for five years and the customer service industry for over 20 years. April enjoys interaction with patients and is always eager to learn new things.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, taking walks, and watching Friday night Dateline shows.

Melinda
She loves seeing the reaction from people when they find that perfect frame. Her mission has been not only to help people look and feel their best but to see their best, too. This authentic goal has allowed her to foster relationships with all patients during her career.
Outside of work, Melinda loves reading, playing disc golf, hiking, and kayaking. Her priority is spending time with her grandbabies. Melinda has impeccable timing, her son was born on Leap Day, and her daughter on New Year’s Eve.
