Meet the Staff
Dr. Troy White
In the fall of 2023, Dr. White founded his own private practice allowing him to elevate the patient’s experience even further. Their goal is to utilize new technology to keep the visit simple and efficient while providing the most thorough and precise eye care possible today.
Dr. White has been passionate about medical missions his whole life. He had the opportunity to go on his first medical mission trip as a student in optometry school. He has remained committed to serving and ministering to people locally and around the globe with his knowledge of the eyes and love for people.
He is a constant student and is always learning about advancements in eye care and overall wellness. He has always believed that health involves all aspects of life and has a passion for seeing people be the best that God has called them to be. He and his wife Melissa love to expand their knowledge of health and wellness and share it with others. They have three adult children Annie, Anderson, and Coleman.

Mel
Melissa has worked in the eye care industry for over 20 years and is a certified paraoptometric technician (CPO) as well as maintains a few contact lens certifications.
She has always had a heart to serve and enjoys volunteering with Remote Area Medical. For more than 38 years, Remote Area Medical (RAM) has provided free healthcare services to those in need through the operation of pop-up clinics around the country. RAM’s clinics deliver free, quality services to underserved and uninsured individuals who do not have access to or cannot afford a doctor.
Melissa also has a passion for her family and their fur babies. Outside of work, she spends time with her husband and their dogs. She enjoys being with her family, outdoors, and exercising.

Dawn has been in health care for more than 20 years and has a passion for being a part of changing lives. Her position at Dr. Troy White Eyecare allows her to coordinate schedules, insurance processing, and patient care.
Dawn and her family enjoy volunteering in the community and any activity that involves the outdoors.

Lillian is the optical technician at Dr. Troy White Eyecare. She spent years in the fashion industry and was inspired to pursue a career in optical after meeting Dr. White and his incredible team.
Her experience working with the public and caring for others has been a big advantage in her new career journey. In her free time, she can be found spending time with her family and friends, exploring the outdoors, and creating art.

Kim
Kim worked with Dr. White for several years in his practice on Gunbarrel Road. Today she helps with insurance and billing, as well as coordinating patient care and schedules. She loves spending time with her retired husband and their large family.
